Arsenal close to second summer signing in club-record deal – report
Arsenal are close to concluding a club-record deal to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, say reports

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon in a club-record transfer deal, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that the north London side are close to being able to complete a deal for the 26-year-old this summer.
The same story says that Arsenal have made a £45m bid for Lacazette plus add-ons, which is just short of the French side’s valuation of the striker.
It also states that Lacazette has now been given the “green light” to complete a transfer to Arsenal this summer, despite having been close to a move to Atletico Madrid before their transfer ban.
Should Lacazette sign for the Gunners, he would become the north London side’s second signing of the summer after the Gunners brought in left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.
Arsenal do not have the lure of Champions League football next season after they finished fifth in the Premier League table last season.
The Gunners did end last season on a high, however, by beating Chelsea to the FA Cup title.
The north London side are facing the prospect of competing in the Europa League next term.
