Raheem Sterling replies to Arsenal transfer reports
Raheem Sterling insists that he didn't ever consider a transfer to Arsenal in the summer

Raheem Sterling has insisted that he never for one moment thought that he would be joining Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The England international was touted as a possible target for the north London club towards the end of the summer transfer window, when it was suggested that he would be included in part of a deal that would have seen Alexis Sanchez move to Manchester City.
However, the move didn’t materialise and both players ended up staying put at their respective clubs.
Sterling has been a regular fixture in the first team at Manchester City so far this season and has already scored six goals and made two assists in the top flight for Pep Guardiola’s men so far this season.
The England international admitted that he did hear about the speculation linking him with Arsenal but insists that he never took it seriously.
Asked if he spoke to Guardiola about the reports, Sterling told a news conference on Monday: “I didn’t need to speak with him because I’d already spoken in summer about pre-season.
“I didn’t have any negative thoughts.
“I just woke up one day with England, saw it [the reports] and didn’t believe a word of it.”
Arsenal suffered a damaging 2-1 loss to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon to leave them nine points behind early leaders Manchester City.
The north London side have not won the title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
