Arsenal are working on finalising a deal to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City, according to one journalist

Arsenal are working on finalising a deal to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City and could announce the signing this week, according to journalist Dale O’Donnell.
The BBC Sport and Daily Mail reporter took to Twitter on Sunday to claim that the north London side are in talks to thrash out a deal for the Algerian winger.
O’Donnell also claims that the Gunners are expected to make an announcement about Mahrez’s signing this week Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his squad at The Emirates.
He tweeted on Sunday morning: “Mahrez to Arsenal… official announcement expected this week. #AFC”
Responding to some users who questioned the legitimacy of his claim, he added: “I was told Arsenal are working to finalise a deal, so yes, looking likely.”
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Mahrez this summer after the Algerian publicly expressed his desire to leave Leicester after the end of last season.
There have been suggestions that Mahrez could end up being a long-term replacement for Alexis Sanchez should the Chile striker leave The Emirates this summer.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of players this summer but have so far only signed left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.
