Gary Lineker responds to Arsenal’s 2-0 loss to Man City
Gary Lineker has his say on Arsenal's 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday

Gary Lineker has taken to social media to admit that it is going to take time for Arsenal to adapt to life under Unai Emery after their 2-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.
The Spaniard’s first competitive game in charge at The Emirates ended in defeat as they slumped to a 2-0 loss after goals from Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva in each half.
Emery has been tasked with steering Arsenal back to the top of English football after he was appointed as Arsene Wenger’s successor at The Emirates back in May.
The north London side have not won the title since 2004 and they finished in a disappointing sixth place and without a trophy last term.
And England legend Lineker believes that it’s inevitable that it will take a significant amount of time for Emery to have a big impact at The Emirates.
Lineker posted on Twitter after Sunday’s defeat: “Tough job for Unai Emery.
“As we saw post Sir Alex at Manchester United, when a coach has been as dominant at a club for so long it’s difficult to impose a different style/mentality.
“Takes time, which is something coaches are rarely given these days.”
Arsenal will now have the week to dust themselves down as they prepare for their crunch clash against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
The north London side will be aiming to claim the three points as the Gunners squad look to try and impress the new man in charge at the club.
