AC Milan are preparing to make an official bid to land Lucas Torreira on loan from Arsenal, say reports

AC Milan are lining up a bid to try and sign Lucas Torreira on loan from Arsenal with a view to a permanent transfer, according to reports in Italy.
Sky Sport Italia, as quoted by Sky Sports in the UK, is reporting that the Serie A club remain keen on bringing in the 23-year-old midfielder from Arsenal this summer.
The same report says that the Serie A club are preparing to make a £4.5m for a two-season loan deal, with an additional fee of around £25m to make the Uruguayan’s move permanent at the end of that period.
It is claimed in the same article that Torreira himself would be open to a return to Serie A this summer to work under his former manager Marco Giampaolo at San Siro.
Torreira was a regular fixture in the Arsenal team throughout last season after having joined from Sampdoria last summer.
The Uruguay international scored two goals and made two assists in 34 Premier League appearances for the north London side and also made one assist in 12 Europa League games.
Arsenal ended up missing out on Champions League qualification for next season after they finished fifth and lost 4-1 to Chelsea FC in the Europa League final last month.
