Arsenal legend sends warning to Mesut Ozil after Everton display
Martin Keown has a challenge for Mesut Ozil after Arsenal's 5-2 victory over Everton at the weekend

Martin Keown has warned Mesut Ozil that he will have to step his game up and produce on a regular basis after his fine performance for Arsenal against Everton on Sunday.
The Germany playmaker was in superb form for the north London side as he scored one goal and set up another in Arsenal’s thrilling 5-2 victory over the Toffees at Goodison Park.
Ozil has regularly been criticised for failing to product consistent performances for Arsenal in recent months, following his big-money transfer to The Emirates from Real Madrid back in 2013.
However, the 29-year-old looked as if he was back to his best at Goodison Park as he linked up brilliantly with Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette in the Arsenal team.
Now, though, former Arsenal star Keown believes that Ozil has plenty more work to do in producing those kinds of performances on a regular basis.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Keown said: “This was the first time that Wenger deployed a forward line of Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette in the Premier League.
“It was a perfect opportunity.
“Ozil seized his chance. Now he has got to perform at this level every week.”
Arsenal return to Premier League action next weekend with a home clash against Swansea City.
The north London side are currently fifth in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after nine games of the new campaign.
