Steve Nicol questions Arsenal signings under Unai Emery
Steve Nicol explains why he's not been impressed by Arsenal's summer transfer business

Steve Nicol believes that Arsenal have not improved their squad significantly with the signings they have made this summer.
The north London club are currently preparing to begin life under new manager Unai Emery after he was appointed as the club’s new boss following Arsene Wenger’s decision to step down at the end of last season.
Arsenal ended up in sixth place in the Premier League table last season and without a trophy before Wenger opted to call time on his career at The Emirates.
The Gunners have been relatively busy in the summer transfer window, with Emery having brought in five new players ahead of his first campaign at the north London club.
Arsenal have signed Stefan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira and Bernd Leno so far this summer.
However, Nicol feels that the north London side have not shown enough ambition in the transfer market and is tipping them to struggle once again next season.
Speaking to ESPN FC, Nicol said: “Arsenal have brought a lot of players in. Are they any better than what they already have? I don’t think they are. They finished in sixth again [last season].”
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign under Wenger at Highbury.
They have missed out on Champions League qualification for the last two seasons running.
