Sevilla braced for Arsenal bid to sign 29-year-old – report
Arsenal are lining up a bid to sign Steven N'Zonzi from Sevilla, according to reports in Spain
Sevilla are expecting a bid from Arsenal to try and sign Steven N’Zonzi this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper AS, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Gunners are keen on bringing the 29-year-old to The Emirates this summer as Unai Emery looks to shake up his squad ahead of his first season in charge.
N’Zonzi has been touted as a target for the Gunners in recent weeks and it seems as though those reports are gathering even more momentum.
The same story says that Sevilla are already preparing for the possibility of losing N’Zonzi this summer by lining up a move to sign Real Madrid man Marcos Llorente this summer.
And the Spanish outfit are more likely to move for Llorente should Arsenal come calling for N’Zonzi before the start of the season.
Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a host of new signings this summer ahead of Emery’s first campaign in charge, although the north London side are thought to be working on a restricted transfer budget.
The Gunners will be looking to try and break back into the top four next season after they finished sixth and without a trophy last term.
