Arsene Wenger sends message to Arsenal fans about forward’s future
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger suggests that he is keen to keep striker Olivier Giroud at the club beyond the summer

Arsene Wenger has indicated that he wants to keep Olivier Giroud at Arsenal beyond the summer transfer window.
The French striker found his first-team opportunities at The Emirates to be somewhat restricted last season as he was limited to just 11 starts in the Premier League.
Still, the 30-year-old largely delivered whenever called upon, and scored 12 goals in the Premier League last term, notching up three assists for his team-mates.
His lack of playing time last season has naturally prompted speculation that he could be set to leave Arsenal in search of regular football.
However, Arsenal boss Wenger has hinted that he wants to keep the France international at The Emirates beyond the summer.
Wenger is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror: “It has been a frustrating season for him because he has not played a lot.
“And when he has played well, he has not always played the next match.
“He has won us a lot of points when he has come on because he has scored lots of times. He has qualities that our team needs.”
Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this summer as the Gunners gear up for the new season.
Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe are two names to have been linked with the Gunners, but it remains to be seen who Arsenal will actually bring in, with north London side so far having only signed left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.
