Arsenal ponder late transfer bid to sign 25-year-old – report
Arsenal are weighing up a late transfer bid to sign Ricardo Rodriguez from AC Milan, say reports

Arsenal are weighing up a late transfer bid to sign Ricardo Rodriguez from AC Milan this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that new Gunners boss Unai Emery is considering a bid to try and bring the 25-year-old Switzerland international to The Emirates before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The same story says that Emery is considering a move for the AC Milan man because he faces issues at left-back, with Sead Kolasinac out for up to 10 weeks and Nacho Monreal yet to return.
However, it is claimed in the same article that AC Milan are not keen to sell Rodriguez this summer and it may take a bid of as much as £30m to convince the Italian club to consider selling.
Monreal has not featured for Arsenal in pre-season after having returned to the club with a minor knee injury, and it is not clear how long the Spaniard will remain out of action for.
Emery is currently preparing for his first season in charge of Arsenal after he was appointed as Arsene Wenger’s successor back in May.
The Spaniard has been tasked with steering the Gunners back into the top four of the Premier League after they missed out on Champions League qualification for the last two years running.
