Robbie Fowler believes that Unai Emery is the right man to lead Arsenal forward.

The Gunners have made something of a mixed start to the new campaign after having won their opening two games in the Premier League.

Since then, they have lost one and drawn two of their last three games to leave them in seventh place in the Premier League table and on eight points.

Arsenal squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Watford away from home on Sunday afternoon as they failed to return to winning ways in the top flight.

Their only defeat this season came in their 3-1 loss to Liverpool FC at Anfield earlier in the campaign.

Liverpool FC legend Fowler believes that Emery simply needs time to get things right at the north London club.

Fowler is quoted as saying by Metro: “There have been whispers of the players not ‘getting him’ or understanding his tactics, but I think you’ve seen enough already from him to believe he can get it right there,

“There are problems, obviously. Even I was baffled by his tactics at Anfield. They could have lost 7-1 there, because they were taken apart in a spell after half-time.

“Yet they got to the Europa League final in his first season, and he’s putting together a decent side, with an incredible attack.”

Arsenal will return to Europa League action on Thursday night when they take on Eintracht away from home.

The Gunners will then start preparing for their home clash in the Premier League against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign under Arsene Wenger.
