Unai Emery sends clear Arsenal message to Danny Welbeck
Unai Emery wants to see the best from Danny Welbeck at Arsenal this season

Unai Emery has told Danny Welbeck that it is time for the Arsenal striker to step his game up.
Welbeck was selected for England’s World Cup squad this summer, but he has struggled for both form and fitness since signing for the north London side from Manchester United back in 2014.
The striker’s future has inevitably been a source of speculation this summer due to his stuttering form for Arsenal and the fact that Emery is now preparing for his first campaign at the club.
Emery will be looking to try and get the best out of Welbeck in the coming weeks and months as the Spaniard looks to enjoy a positive first season in charge at Arsenal.
And the Arsenal boss has revealed that he is demanding that Welbeck raises his game as he looks to hold down a spot in the first team at The Emirates.
Speaking in an interview quoted by the Daily Telegraph, Emery said: “I said to him when he arrived with us, ‘I want the best performance in your career. Work for that’.
“And then the possibility to play as a left winger, right winger or striker.
“Helping with his quality and also getting better with his data. More goals, more assists. Working to help when we need quick pressing against the opposition.”
Arsenal will be aiming to at least be in contention for a top four finish this season after the Gunners ended up in sixth place in the table and without a trophy last term.
The north London side have not won the title since 2004.
