Arsene Wenger to hold crunch talks with Arsenal stars ahead of Bournemouth clash – report
Arsene Wenger will hold clear-the-air talks with his Arsenal players before Saturday's game, according to reports
Arsene Wenger will hold clear-the-air talks with his Arsenal stars when they return from international duty this week, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Frenchman is planning to hold a meeting with his first-team squad to reflect on the Gunners’ disastrous 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool last time out.
That result at Anfield followed the 1-0 loss to Stoke City and left Arsenal in 16th place after three games of the new campaign.
Now, the same report says that Wenger is planning a major meeting with his players to prevent the season from “spiralling into complete disaster”.
Arsenal’s players were widely criticised for their below-par displays as they were beaten 4-0 by Jurgen Klopp’s men and were thoroughly outplayed at Anfield.
The Gunners will now look to dust themselves down as they bid to get back to winning ways when they host Bournemouth at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
Arsenal finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season before Wenger signed a new two-year contract with the north London side.
