Granit Xhaka was put in an awkward position during a recent interview after being asked which Arsenal player he prefers: Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners duo are widely regarded to be Arsenal’s best players and Sanchez has been in good form for the north London side this season despite their recent struggles.
Ozil has been sidelined in recent weeks but will be hoping to return to action when Arsenal take on Manchester City after the international break.
Xhaka is currently enjoying his first season playing alongside the duo after his transfer to The Emirates from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer.
However, the Swiss international refused to give a concrete answer when asked directly about the duo in a recent interview.
Asked by newspaper Blick which player he prefers, Xhaka replied: “Mean question!
“If I say Ozil, Alexis is mad at me and vice versa.
“But those two are certainly the best. They have incredible quality!”

Xhaka will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners look to get their top-four bid back on track against Pep Guardiola’s men next month.
