Arsenal have made an £8.8m offer to sign Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Aymen Barkok, according to reports in the German media.
Spox, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Arsenal have made an offer for the promising Germany Under-19 international in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been tracking Barkok for some time as the attacker continues to build a promising reputation at Frankfurt.
The teenager scored two goals and made two assists in 19 appearances in all competitions last season to attract interest from the north London side ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a place in the Champions League next season.
The Gunners were 2-1 winners against Premier League champions Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.
The north London side signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in the free transfer from Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 last month.
Arsenal smashed their club record to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in a £52m deal last week.
