Arsenal have made enquiries about the possibility of signing AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer, say reports

Arsenal have made enquiries about the possibility of signing AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Gunners are potentially interested in a move to bring the 20-year-old shot-stopper to The Emirates this summer.
Arsenal could well be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer, with Petr Cech set to retire and hang up his gloves after the Europa League final.
According to the same story, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is not convinced about Bernd Leno’s ability to be the club’s long-term number one shot-stopper.
And so it is claimed that Emery has requested that Arsenal chiefs speak to AC Milan about the possibility of luring the shot-stopper to north London this summer.
The same story says that selling Donnarumma would help AC Milan to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations – but that the Italian club would likely ask for a big fee.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their crunch Europa League final showdown against Chelsea FC on Wednesday night in Baku.
The Gunners are hoping to beat the Blues to win the trophy and secure their place in the Champions League for next season, after they missed out on a top-four finish this term.
