Arsenal to rival Man United for 24-year-old France international – report
Arsenal are hoping to sign Adrien Rabiot from under the noses of rivals Manchester United, according to a report

Arsenal are hoping to hijack Manchester United’s bid to sign want-away Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to a report in England.
The Sun, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to add the controversial France international to his squad in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Emery has a limited budget of £40m and Rabiot would be a good addition given that the 24-year-old is available on a free transfer this summer.
According to the same story, Manchester United have been “long-term admirers” of the French star since Louis van Gaal was in charge of the club back in 2016.
The report goes on to add that Ole Gunner Solskjaer is eager to add a new midfielder to his Manchester United squad before the start of the next Premier League season.
Arsenal could have a slight advantage in the race to sign Rabiot given that Emery worked with the talented Frenchman for two seasons at PSG before he became Arsenal manager in May 2018.
The Gunners might be able to offer Rabiot the opportunity to play in the Champions League next term if Emery’s side manage to beat Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku on Wednesday night.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League to condemn them to the Europa League for next term.
