Sky Sports reporter: 21-year-old Ligue 2 winger wants Arsenal move
Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol says Arsenal are in pole position to sign Ligue 2 winger Alexis Claude-Maurice

Alexis Claude Maurice is eager to move to Arsenal from Lorient this summer, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The Gunners have been linked with a move to sign the Lorient wide man in the 2019 summer transfer window to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
Arsenal are thought to be keen to improve their options on the wing given that Unai Emery’s men lacked natural width in their team last term as the Spanish head coach used Alex Iwobi, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol confirmed that Arsenal are in pole position to sign the 21-year-old given Claude-Maurice wants to move to the north London outfit.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Alexis Claude-Maurice wants to move to Arsenal but ten other clubs are trying to sign the Lorient forward this summer. West Ham had bid rejected last month. Lorient want at least £16m.”
Arsenal are thought to be readying an £18m bid to secure Claude-Maurice’s signature ahead of the new Premier League season.
Claude-Maurice scored three goals in 20 games in Ligue 2 last term to attract interest from a host of European clubs.
Arsenal have previous dealings with Lorient after the Gunners signed Laurent Koscielny from the French side in 2011.
The north London side brought in 20-year-old Matteo Guendouzi from the Ligue 2 side last summer.
The French midfielder went on to establish himself as a regular in the Arsenal first-team under Emery last term.
