Arsene Wenger confirms Arsenal want to sign top 21-year-old
Arsene Wenger confirms that Arsenal want to try and sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Arsenal’s interest in signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move to bring the 21-year-old to The Emirates in recent days as the Arsenal boss looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The north London side are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they prepare for the new season.
Lemar is a name which has regularly made the headlines and has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
And although Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal are keen on signing the French midfielder, he branded the rest of the reports about a possible Gunners move as “speculation”.
Asked directly about Lemar at a news conference upon Arsenal’s arrival in Sydney for their pre-season tour, Wenger replied: “That’s all speculation at the moment, there is nothing really concrete about any signing.
“He’s a player that we have looked at, but the rest is only speculation.”
Arsenal, who finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season, secured their second signing of the summer last week when they tied up a deal to land striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
