BBC Sport reporter gives ‘big’ Arsenal transfer update
BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein predicts a big week for Arsenal in the summer transfer window

Arsenal are set for a “big week” in the transfer market, according to BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein.
The Gunners have endured a testing summer transfer window so far despite being linked with a host of big names in the Premier League and in Europe.
However, Arsenal have only signed Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli in a £1.6m deal from South American outfit Ituano earlier this month.
The north London side saw Aaron Ramsey move to Serie A champions Juventus on a free transfer after the Wales international’s contract expired.
France international Laurent Koscielny has also attempted to force a return to Ligue 1 despite being one of Emery’s most senior players.
However, Arsenal’s fortunes in the summer transfer market look likely to change as the Gunners close in on their second and third summer signings.
BBC Sport reporter Ornstein provided a positive update on Arsenal’s pursuit of Saint-Etienne defender Wllliam Saliba and Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
Ornstein wrote on Twitter: “Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Real Madrid and Spain U21 midfielder Dani Ceballos on loan for 2019-20 campaign.
“With William Saliba also set to complete move from Saint Etienne before returning there on loan next season, big week for #AFC in transfer market #RMFC #ASSE.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term after the Gunners finished behind Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table.
The Gunners lost 4-1 to their bitter London rivals Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku at the end of May.
