Arsenal consider £17.2m offer for PSG midfielder – report
Arsenal are weighing up a £17.2m bid for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Christopher Nkunku, according to a report
Arsenal are weighing up a potential move to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Christopher Nkunku in the summer, according to a report in England.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Gunners are keen to improve their options in the middle of the park ahead of the 2019-20 Premier League season.
The same article states that Unai Emery is an admirer of Nkunku after the Arsenal manager worked with the 21-year-old at Parc des Princes.
According to the same story, Arsenal were considering a move for Nkunku in the January transfer window but the north London side opted to sign Denis Suarez.
The Evening Standard report goes on to claim that PSG have informed Arsenal that Nkunki would be available to sign if the Gunners are willing to meet his £17.2m asking price.
Arsenal have lost their last three Premier League games to cast doubt on their hopes of finishing in the Premier League’s top four.
The Gunners will take on La Liga side Valencia in the first leg of their last-four tie on Thursday night with a place in the Europa League final available for the winner.
Emery took over the reins from Arsene Wenger last summer after the Frenchman could only lead the north London side to a sixth-placed finish.
