Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to a report in Spain

Arsenal on the brink of signing Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet AS, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Arsenal are “one step away” from signing the Spain Under-21 international on loan for the 2019-20 season.
The same article states that the Real Madrid starlet has decided to move to the Premier League and Arsenal are at the front of the queue to land Ceballos.
According to the same story, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is a huge admirer of the 22-year-old and the Spanish head coach is the driving force behind a loan deal.
The report goes on to state that Tottenham Hotspur have also shown an interest in the Real Madrid star but Arsenal look set to win the race for Ceballos’ signature.
Arsenal have only signed unproven Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli in a £1.6m deal from South American club Ituano in the summer transfer window so far.
The Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season behind bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea FC in the race to secure a Champions League spot.
The north London side haven’t won a trophy in the last two seasons under both Arsene Wenger and Emery.
