Arsenal prepare £45m bid for 22-year-old Real Madrid midfielder – report
Arsenal are looking to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos from under the noses of Tottenham, according to a report

Arsenal are ready to meet Real Madrid’s £45m asking price for Dani Ceballos, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet AS, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Arsenal are looking to hijack Tottenham Hotspur’s attempts to sign the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Tottenham have held talks with Real Madrid but Arsenal are willing to meet los Blancos‘ £45m asking price for the Spanish playmaker.
According to the same story, Unai Emery would be allocating the entirety of his summer budget on Ceballo unless the Gunners are able to offload Mesut Ozil before the start of the new season.
The Spain Under-21 international could have difficulty securing a regular starting spot in the Real Madrid team this season following the arrival of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Eder Militao.
Ceballos scored three goals in 34 games in all competitions last season as Real Madrid struggled to compete with FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the title race.
The Spanish midfielder started his career at Real Betis before the attacking midfielder moved to Real Madrid in an €18m deal in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Arsenal famously signed Ozil in a £42.5m deal from Real Madrid in the 2013 summer transfer window to set a new club transfer record.
