Arsenal are still in the market for another central defender even if they sign William Saliba, according to reports

Arsenal remain in the market for a central defender, despite closing in on the signing of William Saliba, according to reports in the British media.
BBC Sport is reporting that the north London side are close to clinching a deal to land Saliba from Saint-Etienne and immediately loan the young defender back to the French club.
And the same story says that Arsenal are still on the lookout for a player who can slot straight into the first team for next season in the same position.
Arsenal have long been criticised for their leaky defence and the signing of a new centre-half would certainly please most Gunners fans.
The same story suggests that the north London side’s transfer spending may not stop there.
It is claimed that the north London side are still chasing Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney and are also hoping to recruit a central midfielder and winger this summer.
