Arsenal ready to rival Man City for 27-year-old – report
Arsenal are ready to compete with Manchester City to sign Spanish midfielder Isco, according to a report
Arsenal are ready to compete with Manchester City for the signing of Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News, is reporting that Isco is being tracked by Arsenal and Manchester City.
The same article states that the 27-year-old wants to leave the Spanish giants due to a lack of first-team action under Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane this term.
According to the same story, neither Arsenal nor Manchester City have yet contacted Real Madrid or the Spain international about a potential transfer.
The report goes on to add that Real Madrid would likely be open to selling Isco if one of the Premier League clubs makes an offer in the region of €70m (£60m).
Isco has established himself as one of the bigger names at Real Madrid since his move to The Bernabeu from Malaga in 2013.
The Spanish midfielder has netted 48 times in 282 games in all competitions over the past seven seasons in the capital.
Isco would bring a wealth of experience to Arsenal or Manchester City given that he was won the La Liga titles, the Champions League four times, the Copa del Rey and the Fifa Club World Cup four times.
