Sky Sports reporter confirms Arsenal want to sign proven Premier League star
Kaveh Solhekol confirms Arsenal are interested in signing West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans this month

Arsenal are still interested in signing Jonny Evans from West Brom in the January transfer window but could face competition from Manchester City, according to reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The Gunners have been linked with a host of players in recent days as Arsene Wenger considers bolstering his squad in the mid-season transfer window.
Former Manchester United defender Evans was touted as a possible target for Arsenal in the summer window but a move for the Northern Ireland international failed to materialise.
With around half of the January transfer window still left, there is likely to be plenty of speculation linking Arsenal with a number of other players.
And Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has revealed that Arsenal are indeed still interested in signing 30-year-old defender Evans.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Monday, Solhekol said: “Staying at Arsenal, and they’re still very interested in signing Jonny Evans.
“They’re looking for defensive reinforcements and one of their top targets is Evans.
“West Brom have not received any official offers but Arsenal and Manchester City are interested. West Brom manager Alan Pardew will only let Evans go if he can bring in a replacement.”
Arsenal are currently reeling from their disappointing 2-1 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday, a result which left them in sixth place in the table and eight points off the top four.
The north London side will aim to get themselves back in the race for Champions League qualification when they host Crystal Palace at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
