Arsenal approach Fiorentina about 26-year-old midfielder – report
Arsenal are interested in a deal to sign Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout, according to a report

Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout, according to a report in France.
French media outfit L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Arsenal have made a last-ditch attempt to sign Veretout.
The same article states that the French defender was on the cusp of a move to Fiorentina’s rivals Napoli.
According to the same story, Arsenal view Veretout as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who will complete a move to Juventus next month.
The report goes on to say that the Gunners may have to pay a premium price for Veretout given that he has two years left to run on his current deal.
L’Equipe go on to add that Arsenal could also face competition from Roma and Sevilla in the Fiorentina midfielder.
Veretout scored five goals and made three assists in 33 games in Serie A last season.
Unai Emery has a void to fill in the Arsenal team, with Ramsey set to leave on a free transfer after his contract was allowed to run down.
The north London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term.
The Gunners squandered their final chance to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League following a 4-1 loss to Chelsea FC in the Baku showpiece.
