Arsenal look to sign Juventus star in January transfer window – report
Arsenal are lining up a transfer move to sign defender Medhi Benatia from Juventus, say reports

Arsenal are lining up a transfer move to sign defender Medhi Benatia in the January window, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Sky Sport Italia, as quoted by the Daily Express, is claiming that Arsene Wenger has singled out Benatia as one of his top targets for the January transfer window as he looks to try and strengthen his defence.
The north London side have come in for criticism for their shaky performances at the back so far this season, with Arsenal having conceded 23 goals in 19 Premier League games.
The same report says that Arsenal are keen to sign the 30-year-old Benatia from Juventus and that he could cost a fee of around €40m (£35.5m).
Benatia has scored two goals in eight Serie A appearances for Juventus so far this season.
The story also claims that Arsenal could have significant funds to spend next month if the north London side decide to cash-in on Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Crystal Palace on Thursday night as they look to bounce back to winning ways in the top flight following their 3-3 draw with Liverpool FC last week.
