Virgil van Dijk sends message to Arsenal about Kieran Tierney
Liverpool FC star Virgil van Dijk backs Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney to succeed in the Premier League

Virgil van Dijk says Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has the “qualities” to succeed at Arsenal.
The Scotland international has been linked with a move to Arsenal throughout most of the summer transfer window.
Tierney has been an ever-present member of the Celtic team over the past five seasons at Parkhead.
The Scottish left-back played alongside Liverpool FC defender Van Dijk during his stint at the Scottish Premier League champions.
Tierney and Van Dijk won the SPL title in 2015 before the Netherlands international completed a move to Southampton later that summer.
The Dutch star has gone on to establish himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League over the past couple of seasons.
And Van Dijk is confident that Tierney can also have a positive impact on the Arsenal side should the Celtic star secure a move to the Premier League this summer.
“It is not an easy step to make and you have to play well to do it but he has the qualities,” Van Dijk is quoted as saying by Metro.
“Kieran made his debut against Dundee when I was at Celtic.
“I scored a free-kick up there and then he came on and helped us get the win. You could tell he was a good player who would do well.”
Tierney has won four successive SPL titles over the past four seasons to help Celtic exert their dominance in the Scottish top flight.
The Scotland international has fallen behind Van Dijk’s team-mate Andy Robertson in the pecking order in the national team set up.
Arsenal have already signed Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba and Dani Ceballos this summer.
The Gunners conceded 53 goals in the Premier League last season.
