Arsenal ready to activate 27-year-old’s £31m release clause – report
Arsenal are keen to sign Greek defender Kostas Manolas from AS Roma this summer, say reports

Arsenal are ready to activate Kostas Manolas’ £31m release clause this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the north London club are determined to bring the AS Roma defender to The Emirates this summer as they look to strengthen their back-line.
The same story says that the Greek defender could be finally set to end his five-year stay in Italy and secure a move to the Premier League this summer.
According to the same article, Manolas will be available for just £31m this summer and he will be allowed to leave the club if they fail to finish in the top four in Serie A.
Manolas, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, is under contract at Roma until the summer of 2022.
Arsenal are bound to be linked with a host of players this summer as they look to try and bolster their squad ahead of Unai Emery’s second campaign in charge.
Before that, though, they will be focusing on preparing for their Europa League final showdown with Chelsea FC at the end of the month as they bid to end the campaign with a trophy and seal a route into next season’s Champions League.
