Arsenal hold talks over deal to sign 20-year-old winger – report
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing 20-year-old Dutch winger Alessio Da Cruz in the new year

Arsenal are keen on a transfer bid to sign Alessio Da Cruz from Novara and have already held talks with the winger’s representatives, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outfit Gianluca Di Marzio, as quoted by Metro, is claiming that Arsenal’s head of recruitment Francis Cagigao has travelled to Italy to monitor the midfielder’s progress this season.
The same report claims that Arsenal have already held talks with Da Cruz’s agents – Menno Groenveld and former Middlesbrough midfielder George Boateng.
The 20-year-old has scored five goals in 18 games so far this season for the Serie B side and has been in impressive form.
Da Cruz, who began his career with Dutch side Ajaz, signed for the Italian club in the summer after ending his spell at FC Twente.
Arsenal are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
It remains to be seen exactly how much business the Gunners will do, however.
Arsenal have not exactly been the busiest of Premier League clubs when it comes to incoming transfers in recent seasons, with the Gunners having only signed Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette last summer.
The north London side are next in Premier League action on Thursday 28 December, when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
