Insider claims Arsenal want to keep 23-year-old but Liverpool offered hope of deal
Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol reveals Arsenal and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are no closer to agreeing a new deal

Arsenal want to keep Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but the forward’s chances of signing a new deal are “virtually nil”, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to social media to shed light on the England international’s future at The Emirates beyond the summer transfer window.
While the spotlight has been on Arsenal duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez as the pair continue to drag out contract negotiations, Oxlade-Chamberlain’s talks over a new deal have been a sideshow.
The 23-year-old has entered the final 12 months of his current Arsenal contract and the attacking midfielder could be free to leave the north London club for nothing next summer.
Liverpool have been linked with a move to sign the versatile England star in the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp looks to improve his squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.
And Sky Sports News journalist Solhekol has revealed that Oxlade-Chamberlain’s future at the FA Cup winners is unclear.
Solhekol posted on Twitter: “Arsenal want to keep Oxlade-Chamberlain but we’re told “chances of him signing new deal are virtually nil”. No new talks planned at present.”
Arsenal have signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac and Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in the summer transfer window so far.
