Arsenal ready to ‘shatter’ transfer record to sign prolific striker – report
Arsenal are closing in on a club-record deal to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports

Arsenal are preparing to “shatter” their transfer record as Alexandre Lacazette edges closer to a move to The Emirates, according to reports in England.
Sky Sports is reporting that the north London side are closing in on a deal to sign the Lyon striker in what would be their second summer signing of the current transfer window.
The same article states that Arsenal will easily surpass the £42.5m that the FA Cup winners paid for Germany and Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil in 2013.
Indeed, Arsenal are expected to pay in the region of £50m to sign the 26-year-old centre-forward as Arsene Wenger looks to improve his attacking options at the north London side.
The Gunners boss has some work to do this summer after Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a Champions League spot.
Arsenal did win the FA Cup thanks to a 2-1 win against Premier League champions Chelsea to end the season on a high not but face the prospect of a Europa League campaign next term.
