Arsenal are keeping tabs on Lyon’s 17-year-old starlet Amine Gouiri, according to reports in England.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Gunners are interested in signing the France prospect following his performances at the Under-17 European championship last summer.
The same article states that Arsenal can expect to face competition from Serie A giants AC Milan for the Lyon teenager, who is fast emerging as a bright Ligue 1 prospect.
According to the same story, Arsene Wenger has already sent scouts to watch the Gouiri on a number of occasions as the Arsenal boss looks to ultilise his knowledge of the French leagues.
The 17-year-old is still waiting to make his first-team debut for Lyon but has impressed in the youth league.
Arsenal signed Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record £52m deal from Lyon in the summer transfer window to establish a line of communication with the French club’s hierarchy.
The Gunners have developed many promising French talents into world-class superstars under Wenger, including Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka and Samir Nasri.
Arsenal are unbeaten in the Premier League since a 4-0 loss to Liverpool at the end of August to hoist themselves up to fifth place in the top-flight table.
