Arsene Wenger held a three-hour meeting with Kylian Mbappe to discuss a move to Arsenal, according to reports in the French media.
French outlet Foot Mercato, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Gunners boss is extremely keen to bring the 18-year-old striker to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The same article states that the north London side would have to pay an eye-watering £130m to sign the France international in the summer transfer window.
According to the French media outlet, Wenger has not given up hope of signing the teenager despite adding Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette to his squad.
And the story reveals that the Arsenal boss sat down with Mbappe for three hours to convince him to consider a move to the Premier League side this summer.
Mbappe is also thought to be attracting interest from Champions League holders Real Madrid after an electric breakthrough season at AS Monaco.
The teenage striker scored 15 times in 26 games in Ligue 1 to help to fire AS Monaco to the French title ahead of rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe netted six goals in nine Champions League fixtures to help the French side to reach the last four before a 4-2 aggregate loss to Juventus.
