Arsenal eye 23-year-old French striker as Kylian Mbappe alternative – report
Arsenal are weighing up a move to sign Bordeaux striker Gaetan Laborde, according to reports in the French media

Arsenal are looking at Bordeaux striker Gaetan Laborde as the Gunners lose patience in the race to sign Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in France.
Foot Mercato is reporting that Arsenal are hoping to “seduce” the 23-year-old Bordeaux striker in the 2017 summer transfer window despite being heavily linked with two other French strikers.
Indeed, the north London side are thought to be interested in signing Monaco’s 18-year-old Mbappe and Lyon’s prolific Alexandre Lacazette to bolster Arsene Wenger’s attacking options.
The French media outlet are claiming that Liverpool were considering a move to sign Laborde in recent weeks but the Reds have since ended their interest in the Bordeaux man.
Foot Mercato claim that Arsenal are intrigued by the France Under-20 international’s potential but raise concerns about whether the centre-forward would succeed at a top Premier League team.
Laborde scored 13 times and made five assists in 42 appearances in all competition for the French side last season.
Arsenal have only signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04.
