Arsenal weighing up January bid to sign proven Premier League talent – report
Arsenal are pondering a January transfer move to sign West Brom defender Jonny Evans, say reports

Arsenal and Manchester City are both considering making January transfer bids to sign West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that both of the Premier League clubs are considering reigniting their interest in the 29-year-old centre-half when the transfer window reopens on 1 January.
However, the same report also says that West Brom are hoping to persuade the defender to stay at The Hawthorns and sign a new contract worth £100,000 a week.
Arsenal were linked with a move to sign Evans, 29, in the summer transfer window but a switch failed to materialise as the Gunners ended up not landing a new defender.
The report comes as other speculation in the British media links Manchester United with a surprise move to try and re-sign the player they let leave Old Trafford two and a half years ago.
Arsenal and the Premier League’s other top clubs are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
The Gunners were 1-0 winners over Newcastle United at The Emirates on Saturday and they return to Premier League action on Friday night with a crunch clash against Liverpool FC.
