Journalist claims Arsenal confident of signing exciting 18-year-old striker this summer
Serie A expert James Richardson reveals Arsenal are confident of completing a deal to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer

Arsenal are confident of signing Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco this summer, according to James Richardson.
The Gunners are thought to be in the race to sign the France international in the 2017 summer transfer window but face competition from two of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Indeed, Champions League winners Real Madrid are thought to be favourites to sign the teenager, while Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the 18-year-old.
Mbappe scored 15 times in 26 appearances in Ligue 1 to help Monaco win the French title ahead of PSG, while the 18-year-old netted six goals in nine Champions League games.
Arsenal legend Robert Pires stated his confidence that Arsene Wenger will secure a major transfer coup and land the teenager in the summer transfer window.
And Serie A expert Richardson, who is perhaps most famous for his role as host of Football Italia in the 1990s on Channel 4, had some exciting news for Arsenal.
“My understanding is Arsenal are very confident about signing Mbappe,” Richardson told The Guardian’s Football Weekly podcast.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a place in next season’s Champions League.
