Journalist reveals Arsenal have received ‘tentative’ approach from rival for France star
Sky Sports News HQ reporter Kaveh Solhekol reveals Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is a target for Everton in the summer transfer window

Arsenal have received a “tentative” approach from Everton to sign France international Olivier Giroud, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The respected Sky Sports News HQ reporter has taken to Twitter to shed light on Premier League interest in Arsenal’s 30-year-old striker.
Giroud could soon find himself further down the pecking order with the Gunners thought to be closing in on a deal to sign Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette.
The former Montpellier striker struggled to secure a regular starting spot in the Arsenal team last term given increased competition for places following the arrival of Lucas Perez.
Giroud was thought to be a potential makeweight in a deal to sign Lyon forward Lacazette but now Giroud appears more likely to secure a switch within the Premier League.
Sky Sports News HQ reporter Solhekol took to Twitter to shed light on interest from Everton in the Arsenal striker.
Solhekol wrote: “Everton have made “tentative enquiries” for Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud. West Ham also want him. Wayne Rooney “legitimate” Everton target.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in next season’s Champions League.
The Gunners have only signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 in the summer transfer window so far.
