Olivier Giroud sends message to Arsenal fans about summer transfer plans
The Arsenal striker is tight-lipped about his future amid talk of a move away from the north London side

Olivier Giroud has admitted that there is a real possibility he could leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The France international has fallen further down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium after Arsenal spent a club-record £52m fee on France international Alexandre Lacazette.
The Gunners have signed the Lyon striker to help fire the north London side back in the top four after a disappointing 2016-17 campaign saw Arsenal end up in fifth place.
Giroud scored 12 times and made three assists in 11 starts and 18 substitute appearances in the Premier League as the France star struggled to secure regular first-team football.
The Arsenal striker has been linked with a potential return to Ligue 1 this summer amid interest from Marseille, while West Ham are also thought to be interested in the powerful forward.
Speaking during the launch of Arsenal’s new third kit in Sydney, Giroud refused to rule out a potential move away from the north London club this summer.
“Some people asked me if I wanted to travel or not. Yeah of course, I’m an Arsenal player so I’m here,” Giroud said. “I just want to prepare well for the season, and we’ll see later. But one thing is sure, I really enjoyed my five years at Arsenal.”
Giroud added: “I can play in any of those front three [positions]. I won’t say exactly where I’ve asked the manager I want to [play], but I have a plan. I have clarity now about what I want to do.
“But the main thing is to work hard, when you work hard you’ll be in the team. It’s as simple as that. And that’s what I’m going to do, put my head down, work hard and see where it takes me.”
Arsenal have signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac and France striker Lacazette in the 2017 summer transfer window so far.
