Arsenal are still interested in signing Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling despite missing out on the winger this summer, according to reports.
The Mail on Sunday is reporting that the Gunners are still hoping to complete a deal to sign the Manchester City winger despite Pep Guardiola’s reluctance to sell the England international this summer.
The same article states that the Citizens are set to rekindle their interest in Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window after a deal fell through on transfer deadline day.
According to the same story, the Gunners are also still monitoring former Liverpool winger Sterling and Monaco forward Thomas Lemar.
The Gunners broke their transfer record in the summer when Arsenal signed Alexandre Lacazette in a £52m deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Arsenal recruited Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 back in June.
The north London side have already lost two of their opening four games in the Premier League following losses to Stoke City and Liverpool.
The Gunners were 4-3 winners against Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium in the opening day of the 2017-18 season, while Arsenal eased to a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth.
