Arsenal want to sign 25-year-old Croatian ahead of Everton – report
Arsenal are battling Everton to try and sign Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports
Arsenal are battling with Everton for the signature of Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Sportitalia, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the two Premier League clubs are leading the race to sign the 25-year-old Croatian.
The same report, however, says that although both Arsenal and Everton are keen on signing the versatile midfielder, neither clubs have tabled official bids for the player.
Arsenal were linked with a move to sign Brozovic back in August but a switch failed to materialise.
The 25-year-old has scored three goals and made two assists in 15 Serie A games for Inter Milan so far this season.
Arsenal have already been busy in the January transfer window after offloading Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin.
The Gunners secured the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United last week as part of the deal which saw Sanchez head to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Swansea City on Tuesday night as they look to get their top-four bid back on track.
The north London side finished in fifth place last term and missed out on Champions League qualification as a result.
