Arsenal hope to raise £30m by selling 30-year-old – report
Arsenal are eager to finally offload Mesut Ozil in a £30m deal this summer, according to a report

Arsenal are stepping up their efforts to offload German playmaker Mesut Ozil in a £30m deal this summer, according to a report in England.
The Daily Star is reporting that the Gunners are eager to offload Ozil’s £350,000-a-week contract to free up more space on their wage bill for new recruits this summer.
The same article states that Arsenal have settled on a £30m price tag, which the Gunners believe is low enough to tempt some suitors into making a bid for the World Cup winner.
According to the same story, Turkish trio Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas have all shown an interest in the former Germany international in the past but have been put off by his price tag.
Ozil struggled to secure regular first-team football under Emery last season after the Spanish head coach took over the reins from Arsene Wenger last summer.
However, the German playmaker did play his way back into the Arsenal starting XI towards the end of the season, even starting their 4-1 loss to Chelsea FC in the Europa League final.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to continue the run of ending up outside the Champions League qualification spots in the top flight.
