Arsenal are keen to sign FC Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
Website Football.London, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Arsenal transfer chief Sven Mislintat is eager to sign the France international from the La Liga champions.
The same article states that Gunners head coach Unai Emery is eager to sign a winger to strengthen Arsenal’s options ahead of the new Premier League season.
According to the same report, Mislintat oversaw Dembele’s move to Borussia Dortmund from Ligue 1 side Rennes but the French forward struggled in his debut season in Spain.
The Gunners have already signed five players in the summer transfer window to bolster Emery’s options under Wenger.
Arsenal have snapped up Juventus and Switzerland veteran Stephan Lichtsteiner in a free transfer to improve their defence.
The Gunners have also signed Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno in a £20m deal from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal have also brought in Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Lorient teenager Matteo Guendouzi.
The north London side lost 3-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City in the League Cup final last term.
Emery is thought to have to offload players to fund a move to sign Dembele.
