Ian Wright makes Mesut Ozil admission, Arsenal fans will be surprised
The Arsenal legend doesn't believe it would make sense for Mesut Ozil to sign a new deal with the north London club

Ian Wright believes it wouldn’t make sense for Mesut Ozil to sign a new deal with Arsenal.
The German midfielder’s future at the north London club has been a source of relentless debate over the past season or so.
Ozil has entered the final year of his current Arsenal deal to raise the possibility of the World Cup winner leaving for nothing next summer.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United where his former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is in charge.
Arsenal could decide to sell Ozil in January to secure some return on their former club-record signing after his £42.5m switch from Real Madrid in 2013.
Ozil has turned on the style in the Arsenal team in recent weeks to raise the hopes of some Gunners fans that the German will stay.
The former Schalke and Werder Bremen midfielder has scored two goals and has made five assists in his last five Premier League outings.
However, former Arsenal striker Wright doesn’t believe it would make sense for the number 11 to sign a new deal with the north London club.
“It wouldn’t make sense for Ozil or his team to sign now. They’ve gone so far,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.
