Arsenal told Ozil, Sanchez won’t leave Arsenal, claims ex-midfielder
Paul Merson doesn't expect Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez won’t leave Arsenal in the January transfer window, according to Paul Merson.
The Gunners have been forced to contend with incessant transfer speculation surrounding their influential duo throughout the 2017-18 season so far.
Both Ozil and Sanchez haven’t agreed contract extensions with the north London side and have little over six months remaining on their current deals at Arsenal.
Premier League leaders Manchester City have been heavily linked with a move to sign Sanchez over the past 12 months but a deal failed to materialise in the summer.
Ozil, on other hand, is a reported target for former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho at Manchester United with less than a month until the January transfer window.
Of course, Arsenal risk losing Ozil and Sanchez for nothing next summer unless the Gunners can reach agreements over next contracts or sell the duo for a cut price.
However, former Arsenal midfeilder Merson believes Ozil and Sanchez will remain at the north London club beyond January.
“Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have found some form and I would be surprised if either of them leaves in January now,” Merson told Daily Star.
Arsenal signed Ozil in a £42.5m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in the 2013 summer transfer window.
Less than 12 months later, Sanchez followed Ozil in moving from La Liga to Arsenal.
