Arsenal are lining up a £10m bid for Olympiakos centre-half Pape Abou Cisse, according to a report in England.
Website 90min, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that Arsenal are set to launch a £10m offer for the 6ft 6ins defender.
The same article states that the Gunners have spent the past 12 months scouting the 23-year-old centre-half.
According to the same story, Arsenal could face competition from their Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wandeers.
The Sun goes on to report that Unai Emery is desperate to bolster his Arsenal defence ahead of the new Premier League season.
The north London side have also been linked with a swoop to sign Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba this summer.
However, the Gunners are thought to be embroiled in a battle with Tottenham Hotspur to sign the promising 18-year-old French defender.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to narrowly miss out on a place in the Champions League next term.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Arsenal finished the campaign unbeaten under Arsene Wenger.
