Arsenal are ready to swoop to sign FC Barcelona midfielder Rafinha after his proposed move to Inter Milan fell through, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Sport, as quoted by Sport Witness, is reporting that the Gunners have entered the race to sign Rafinha in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that the north London side will face competition from West Ham United for the Brazil international as the Hammers look to strengthen under Manuel Pellegrini.
According to the same story, Arsenal have made an approach but haven’t made a monetary bid for the South American despite interest from their London rivals.
New Gunners boss Unai Emery is thought to be keen on improving their options in the middle of the park and Rafinha would come with a lot of experience.
Rafinha scored two goals and made three assists in 17 games during his season long loan at Serie A giants Inter Milan.
The South American star has scored 11 times in 79 games during six seasons in the FC Barcelona first-team.
Rafinha has won two La Liga titles, five Copa del Rey trophies and the Champions League with the Catalan side.
