Petr Cech sends Arsenal message to Aaron Ramsey about new contract
The Arsenal goalkeeper wants Aaron Ramsey to remain at the north London side beyond the summer

Petr Cech has revealed that he is hoping Arsenal can keep Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales international has less than 12 months to run on his current contract which will end at the end of the 2018-19 season.
Arsenal will be loathe to lose another player on the cheap after Alexis Sanchez moved to Manchester United last January.
The Gunners have appointed Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger’s successor following a sixth-placed finish last term.
Arsenal missed out on a Champions League spot for the second successive season to force the Gunners board to make a change.
The north London side have seen Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere run down their contracts, while Mesut Ozil committed to a new deal in February after threatening to leave the club.
The Arsenal number one is eager to see Ramsey remain at the north London outfit ahead of the new Premier League season.
“That’s a private matter for the club and the player,” Cech told Arsenal’s website.
“Obviously we would like to keep all the best players with us. Hopefully his situation will be sorted out as quickly as possible.
“It’s more for the player that he has the feeling that his situation is resolved and he can purely concentrate on the game.
“It’s been two or three weeks since Aaron started training, he’s been in top form, working really hard, so we can see it doesn’t affect him at all. As I said, it’s better for him if the situation is resolved quicker, we will see.”
Ramsey moved to Arsenal from Championship side Cardiff City in the 2008 summer transfer window.
The Gunners finished in sixth spot in the Premier League table last term.
Arsenal have signed five players in the summer transfer window since Emery replaced Wenger at The Emirates.
The north London side haven’t won the Premier League title.
