Journalist says Arsenal close to signing top 26-year-old winger
Arsenal are holding "positive" talks to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City this summer, says Tancredi Palmeri

Arsenal are holding “positive” talks to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City this summer, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old winger, who recently expressed his desire to leave the King Power Stadium this summer.
Arsenal were linked with Mahrez last summer but a move failed to materialise for the Algeria international.
Now, Italian reporter Palmeri has taken to Twitter to claim that the Gunners are closing in on a deal to land the former PFA player of the year.
Palmeri tweeted: “Arsenal are close to Mahrez. Last year they made a move too.
“This 100%. Talks ongoing positively – again, after having attempted to sign Mahrez last year.”
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remained coy when quizzed about the speculation linking the Gunners with a possible move for Mahrez earlier in the summer
Arsenal have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as Wenger looks to add to his squad ahead of next season.
The north London side finished fifth last season but won the FA Cup by beating Chelsea in the final in May.
